This week, forty ‘School Opinion Surveys’ will be handed out to randomly selected families from our school to complete and provide feedback about our school. These forty families have been randomly pre-selected using a computer program. Surveys will also be provided to all staff, and students in Years Five and Seven.
The School Surveys are administered in every state school in Queensland each year. School Opinion Survey questionnaires are distributed to samples of students and parents to gauge their satisfaction with important aspects of schooling. School Staff Survey questionnaires are distributed to both teaching and non-teaching staff to gauge their satisfaction with the school as a workplace.
If you have been selected to participate in the survey, it's important to complete the questionnaire so that your views about our school are counted. Our school will use the results of the survey to evaluate and reflect on how well we are going, and to identify areas for future development. As a parent of a child at our school, your response will help our school become a better place for your child.
The information that you provide will be treated confidentially and stored securely. The school will not open the confidentiality envelope. The envelopes will be forwarded to an external contractor, where the information will be scanned and the school's data will then be forwarded to the Central Office of DETA for analysis.
The information will not be reported in ways that allow individuals to be identified.
The number on your questionnaire has not been assigned to you individually. The number is only used to ensure that forms are distributed to the correct schools and to allow the information to be analysed at the school level.
It is very important that all people selected to complete the survey do so as soon as possible and return to the School Office. |
